Kelantan Royalty Crisis

It is distressing that the Federal Govt or even the Council of Rulers are not taking proper cognizance of the crisis in Kelantan, where His Highness the Sultan, is alleged to be in captive.

This imbroglio being allowed to fester with little intercession from the Federal Govt is indeed disappointing.

Conflicting reports of HRH's health, reports of UTK involvement and other pressing issues must be addressed immediately.

The Star Saturday May 8, 2010
"The car bearing the Sultan of Kelantan and Raja Perempuan was ambushed mere metres from the Royal Palace by armed men, and guns were aimed at the head of its driver. In shocking claims made in an affidavit filed yesterday, the Sultan’s third son Tengku Temenggong Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra said the driver was forcibly dragged out of the vehicle by the men, who were in balaclavas and armed with semi-automatic weapons."

The Rulers are the symbol of Malay unity, dominance and rights.

The Council of Rulers is the appropriate authority to act and resolve issues affecting their fellow Rulers and must do so immediately as a matter of urgency to uphold the dignity of Royal households.
