Tony Pua - Open Mouth Talk Cock

Tony "Tompel" Pua opened his mouth about "the government’s decision to increase public sector expenditure".

We all must share his concerns. We don't want our country to go bankruptsville.

Tony is well qualified on the matter.

Singing Sing Dollars 10,000 a month, while his much hyped dot.com company finances was going south down south, gives him suitable credentials.

Being "also the DAP National Publicity Secretary, as well as the investment liaison officer for the Penang Chief Minister based in the Klang Valley", he should author a "How To Avoid Your Company From Going Bust in Record Time for Dummies" book.

Opening his mouth, Tony the Tompel "Pua had previously said that the DAP would work towards progressively improving the efficiency of Malaysia’s bloated civil service by terminating government staff who failed to perform once Pakatan Rakyat (PR) secures federal power."

It's not only me who is saying that Tompel Tony talks cock.

Even his fellow Pakatanis "would like to clarify that the position of the 1.2 million civil servants and officers will be guaranteed as enshrined in (Articles 132 and 135) of the Constitution."

That's Tompel Tony's DAP "Democracy, Integrity, Social Justice and Equality of Opportunities" for you.

Please forgive me Tompel Tony if these were not your exact words, "Malaysia’s bloated civil service" because if it were, you are talking cock again.

Let's see now.

According to the Chief Secretary of Malaysia Website,
"To date, the Malaysian Public service has staff strength of 1.2 million
employees
covering 28 schemes of service including the Federal Public
Service, the State Public Services, the Joint Public Services, the Education
Service, the Judiciary, the Legal Service, the Police and Armed
Forces
."
For a population of 28.66 million the number of public service staff as a percentage of the total population is 4.2%.

As a comparison looking at some countries from "Administration
and the Civil Service in the EU 27 Member States
" fact sheet.

Number of public sector employees: 840,000
Number of public service staff as a percentage of the total population - 8%

Finland
Population: 5.3 million
Number of State employees: 124,000 (including 103,000 civil servants)
Number of public sector employees: 562,000

France
Population: 65 million
Number of public sector employees: 5.2 million
Number of public service staff as a percentage of the total population - 8%

Germany
Population: 82.17 million
Number of public sector employees: 4.5 million
Number of public service staff as a percentage of the total population - 5.5%

Hungary
Population: 10 million
Number of public sector employees: 760,000
Number of public service staff as a percentage of the total population - 7.6%

Ireland
Population: 4.2 million

Number of public service staff as a percentage of the total population - 7.5%

Sweden
Population: 9.1 million
Number of public sector employees: 1.125 million
Number of public service staff as a percentage of the total population - 12%

United Kingdom
Population: 60.7 million
Number of public sector employees: 2.75 million (20% at central level)
Number of public service staff as a percentage of the total population - 4.5%

Mind you, these figures may not take into account the Police and Armed Forces. See Datuk Rocky's post, "Civil Servants and DAP".

What does this all add up to?

Apart from being economic advisor to Secretary-General the Ah Beng Chief Minister of Penang, Tompel Tony, as aforementioned, is also the DAP National Publicity Secretary.

Talking cock for cheap publicity.

If Tompel Tony has nothing better to do, he should keep to price checking, earth shattering disclosures of Kedai Rakyat 1 Malaysia merchandise being "not cheap", which would be much appreciated by housewives like Nurul Izzah.

It would be more up his alley.

For cheap publicity, "not cheap" 10,000 Sing Dollar man Tompel Tony, might not then be so open mouth talk cock.

Snuze,

What a coincidence. Was watching movie "Tin Cup" on the Komuter train today. Must look for the DVD somewhere at home. Not exactly the same "tin" I guess.

Ta for now.
